One of a company’s greatest assets is its people. Kice Industries is very fortunate to have gifted, dedicated, and customer-focused employees. We would like you to learn a little bit more about our people of Kice, both professionally and personally.
New to Kice: Blake Krier
Kice start date:
How did you learn about Kice?
I was familiar with the company from previous jobs and learned a lot more about it during the interview process.
What were some of your deciding factors for coming to work at Kice?
I liked the stability of the company and the vision of where Kice is headed.
You started during a pandemic. What was that like?
It was a little strange, but I think it helped with the training process as there was less activity in the office. There are still people that I have not met in person that I interact with regularly, but I think everyone can agree 2020 has been a strange year. Luckily, technology helps bridge the distance and keeps operations going smoothly.
Tell us a little bit about your current day-to-day job/responsibilities.
I oversee the accounting functions of Kice. We have a great team of accountants, so that is the easy part. I’m also the Finance team contact for the Automation group and help manage the large projects from the financial perspective.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Why?
The people. Everyone is willing to help or train and ultimately wants to get to the correct answer when questions arise.
Can you share some things that set the company apart from other companies (what are the favorite things working at Kice?)
I think Kice does a good job of caring about its employees and providing flexibility. The team understands employees have commitments outside of work as well and allows those to happen. There has also been good flexibility, especially in this year of COVID. Whether that be going to a kids’ event or working from home while schools are in remote learning, the company is always willing to find a solution that benefits everyone.
What are three words to describe Kice?
Flexible, people-oriented, welcoming

What’s one thing you’re really bad at?
I tried paddle boarding once and that was enough for me.

TuneIn Radio – I was trying to listen to a football game.
