One of a company’s greatest assets is its people. Kice Industries is very fortunate to have gifted, dedicated, and customer-focused employees. We would like you to learn a little bit more about our people of Kice, both professionally and personally.
Meet Cindy Daniels
How many years and what roles have you had at Kice?
I have worked at Kice for 22 years. I have performed the same basic function the entire time, though the job “title” has changed several times. I enter jobs for manufacturing, currently called Planning (I think – it may have changed again.)
Tell me a little bit about your day-to-day job currently?
Orders are given to me to enter as Jobs. I work with Design, Purchasing, Engineering, and the Shop and ensure that the Jobs are, in fact, ready to be entered. As a Planner, I populate and engineer jobs as they show up on my dashboard. The product lines I plan are Air Power Units, Airlocks, Rotary Stream Splitters, Gravity Stream Splitters, Reel Eliminators.
Working at Kice
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy it when I can help someone else do their job better. We are a team.
Can you share one of the things that are unique about working at Kice?
I’ve worked here for such a long time; I’m not sure what other companies are like. I left my last job for ethical reasons. I believe that Kice always tries to “do the right thing.” Kice is very customer service oriented.
What are three words to describe Kice?
Integrity. Family. Customer Service.
Personal Side of Cindy
Tell us a little bit about your family.
We are a “blended” family. Chuck and I have been married for 23 years. He had a daughter, Jennifer, and I had 2 sons, Colton and Jeff. After we were married, we had 2 more children, Joseph and Sadie. We have 2 grandchildren, Adyn and Emry. We are now officially empty-nesters.
What is the worst thing you did as a kid?
In 5th grade, I pulled the chair out from under my teacher, and he landed on the floor. I landed in the hall. I have NO idea why he didn’t call my parents!
People outside of Kice would be surprised if they knew (about me):
I was a bridesmaid in my husband’s first wedding.
Five things you enjoy are:
Cooking. Traveling. Bragging on my kids. Living in a country where I can worship as I please. Looking forward to and planning retirement with my husband.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Cleaning up after pets.
What is the best place you have traveled to and why?
Great Lakes, Illinois, to my daughter’s recent graduation from Navy Boot Camp. I am so proud of her for the difficulties she overcame to accomplish this. She was thrown in with people from all walks of life, with differing backgrounds and upbringings (or lack thereof), and managed to shine and excel in true “Sadie fashion.” She was then selected to be in the Naval Ceremonial Guard. She will spend the next 2 years in Washington DC.
What are your biggest pet peeves?
Litter, especially soiled diapers. I see no excuse for it!!!
