What were your roles with companies before joining Kice?

Before joining Kice, I’ve held various sales/sales management positions, including Account Manager, Sales Specialist, Capital Project Pursuit Manager/Leader, and Regional Sales Management roles.


Tell us a little bit about your day-to-day job, responsibilities and role you play with customers?

Each day is different.  It could include startup of a system that I helped develop with the customer to suit his production needs, walking plants with customers, coming up with ways to help increase throughput and reduce downtime, working with engineers to ensure our equipment meets their technical needs, etc.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the diversity of the job, one day working inside of plants, troubleshooting equipment and other days meeting with engineers in an office developing specifications.  Being out in the field working with customers as the face of Kice is really the satisfaction I derive from the position.

Can you share some things that set the Kice Industries apart from other companies?

Kice truly believes in the culture they have developed which includes the following five pillars: Safety, Customer Focus, Integrity, Continuous Improvement, and Faith & Family.  These can be seen in the way we interact with each other internally and externally with customers and vendors.

What are three words to describe Kice?

Family oriented culture.

What have been some of your most rewarding on-the-job experiences so far?

We had a customer who experienced a fire which shut down production at their plant. We met with the customer the day of the fire, around 10:30 pm that evening.  We were able to design, build and install a new air system and have them up and running within two weeks.  The customer was extremely pleased with that level of responsiveness and execution.

Personal side

Tell us a little bit about your family?

My wife, Stephanie, and I have a daughter, Katharine, who is 4.  We met in Florida and moved to Texas in 2009 where we currently reside.  We spend most of our free time these days at school functions, 4-year-olds birthday parties, and extra-curricular activities.


Where is the best place you have traveled to and why?

Nome, AK.  I had a great uncle who lived there most of his adult life.  It’s on the edge of society (even by today’s standards), and you can really disconnect if you want.


If you could have dinner and drinks with any famous person, dead or alive, who would it be?

Andrew Jackson, 7th President of the United States.  He was Americas first “Populist President,” orphaned at 14, served in the Revolutionary War and later led the forces at the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812, vetoed the US Central Bank Charter and believed in the rights of the common man over the aristocracy.

People would be surprised if they knew (about me)

I used to play the French horn.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Bush pilot.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Scrambled eggs


If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I’d like to speak 3 or 4 different languages.

What is your greatest fear?

I’ve always believed you tell a lot about a person by how their children turn out…if I was unable to raise a productive member of society.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
