In the 1970s, EPA pollution-control regulations led many foundries to shut down, resulting in a shortage of gray iron castings for airlocks and diverter valves. Kice responded by establishing a foundry to safeguard its supply chain and comply with environmental standards. Located in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the foundry is called CFM (Casting, Fabricating, and Machining). Much of CFM’s dust control systems are designed and built by Kice.
Today, CFM Foundry continues to supply high-quality gray and ductile iron castings for Kice’s manufacturing plant. CFM is operated by experienced, longtime iron-casting professionals whose commitment to accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship has earned them a proud reputation in the foundry industry.
CFM Foundry offers generations of iron-casting expertise and the latest technology to produce a wide variety of casting sizes, shapes, and specifications.
From small batches to large-scale runs, CFM offers in-house molding, core-making, melting, and finishing for both standard Kice parts and custom designs.
Every casting undergoes a rigorous inspection to meet Kice’s high standards of quality, as well as the customer’s project requirements.
From the earliest stages of production, CFM’s foundry experts work closely with Kice engineers to create components that perform well and reduce costs.
CFM has long been an integral part of Kice’s commitment to provide industry-leading solutions. From OEM replacement parts to custom iron castings, we’re here to help manufacturers integrate the very best equipment into their processes.
