Cyclone Receivers

Cyclone Receivers

We have been building high-efficiency cyclones ever since our company was established more than 75 years ago. Along with dust control and air systems, cyclones are one of our core air system products. Kice engineers never stop refining, upgrading and adapting cyclones to deliver long-lasting performance in a variety of applications.

Applications

Cyclones are essential for separating dry bulk solids from air streams. In a cyclone, the product is funneled downward, and air exhausts through the top of the cyclone receiver. Kice cyclones are designed to maximize efficiency while minimizing operational costs.

Our process engineers have the experience and know-how to properly size and apply Kice cyclones to your specific application. Air volume, density, temperature, humidity and product characteristics are some of the factors that influence the criteria for cyclone design. Space limitations can also pose restrictions. Fortunately for our customers, we specialize in designing solutions for tight spots. Kice engineers take the time to perform all the necessary specs and tests so that when your cyclone is built, it works without the need for additional adjustments that would cause delays.

Standard features

  • Construction materials include painted mild steel or stainless steel. Many other types of materials have been used by Kice over the years for special applications and continue to be available upon request.
  • Interior liners can be supplied for wear resistance. The two most common are 3/16” abrasion-resistant steel and ceramic lining.
  • Horizontal air outlets, sometimes called pull-throughs, are standard on Kice cyclones.
  • Access doors.
  • Support pads.
  • Floating flanges.

Optional features

  • Multiple inlets
